Granular plastic material GPPS/ Total 1450X/ for high temperature insulation

A brief introduction to the properties of GPPS
General-purpose grade polystyrene is a thermoplastic resin, which is colorless, odorless, tasteless and glossy, transparent bead
or granular solid. Density 1.04 ~ 1.09, transparency 88% ~ 92%, refractive index 1.59 ~ 1.60. Under the action of stress,
birefringence occurs, that is, the so-called stress-optical effect. The melting temperature of the product is 150 ~ 180¡æ, the
thermal decomposition temperature is 300¡æ, the thermal deformation temperature is 70 ~ 100¡æ, and the long-term use temperature is
60 ~ 80¡æ. At 5 ~ 6¡æ lower than the hot deformation temperature, after annealing treatment, the stress can be eliminated and the
hot deformation temperature can be increased. The heat resistance of general polystyrene can be improved if a little ¦Á-methyl
styrene is added in the production process.

A brief introduction to the properties of GPPS
It is soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, aliphatic ketones and esters, but can only swell in acetone. Can
be resistant to some mineral oil, organic acid, alkali, salt, low alcohol and its aqueous solution. Low water absorption, it can
still maintain its mechanical properties and dimensional stability in wet environment. Its optical properties are second only to
acrylic resins. Excellent electrical performance, volume resistivity and surface resistivity are very high, and is not affected by
temperature, humidity changes, also is not affected by corona discharge. The radiation resistance is also very good. Its main
disadvantage is brittle, low impact strength, poor heat resistance, can not resist boiling water, can only be used at a lower
temperature and a lower load. Light resistance is poor and flammable. Black smoke when burning, and have a special smell.
